Maybe it was the night air, but my body welled with heat again. "Do you think I look good?" I said, right into his ear.
Thunder seemed to slow to a walk. "Honey," Rick said, "You think I offer a ride to every stranger that pulls over on the side of the road? I have to say, I wasn't entirely watching over you for the most pure of reasons, but I couldn't rip my eyes off that sleeping face."
"I need that," I said, then leaned in to peck his cheek, but my kiss fell on his jaw instead. His entire body went rigid under me. I started to apologize, but though my mouth opened the only thought occupying my brain was the thought of all those muscles taut and tense under my soft curves.
Rick's head swiveled back. I didn't hesitate, I swooped around him and pressed my lips to his. Unlike the rest of him, his mouth was so soft. Strong, but tender, it rolled and moved against mine.
He pulled away. "There's a beautiful spot right up here, " he said. "Why don't we go sit there awhile, uh... goodness, I never even got your name."
"Lisa," I whispered.
"Mmmhm." His chest rumbled approvingly.
I held onto him, and this time, I buried myself directly into his neck, my lips moving against his skin. His chest started heaving double speed, but we soon slowed down. Rick hopped off, then held his hand up.
"Come now, Lisa," he said, grinning.
